Privacy Policy for NoLater

Last updated: August 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data NoLater ("the App") collects, how it's used, and what choices you have. It's written to reflect exactly what the App does today — nothing more.

Who is responsible

NoLater is developed by Nico Lange, Schlehenstr. 29, 71540 Murrhardt, Germany. Contact for privacy questions: help.nolater@gmail.com.

Full legal notice (Impressum, incl. § 5 DDG and § 19 UStG details): see Impressum.

What data the App collects

Data that stays only on your device (default, no account needed)

By default, and for anyone who doesn't create an account, the App stores the following directly on your phone, using local device storage. It is never sent to us or to any server we control:

If you delete the App, or use "Reset All Data" in Settings, this data is permanently erased.

Optional account & cloud sync

The App lets you optionally create an account (email address and password) to sync your data across multiple devices. This is entirely optional — the App works fully without one.

If you create an account:

Photo library access

If you choose to set a profile photo, the App asks for access to your photo library to let you pick one image. The photo is stored locally on your device only and is never uploaded anywhere.

Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, the App schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This does not involve sending any data to a server — it's handled entirely by your device's operating system.

Purchases (Premium subscription)

If you purchase a Premium subscription, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) as a third-party service to manage and validate subscriptions across app updates and devices. RevenueCat receives a device identifier and purchase/transaction data from Apple to do this — we do not receive or store your payment details ourselves. RevenueCat processes this data in the United States; it applies contractual safeguards to protect data transferred internationally. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Crash reporting

If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, a technical crash report (what went wrong, and where in the code) is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), so we can find and fix the bug. This report is not linked to your name, email, or account — it's technical diagnostic data only, used solely to keep the App working correctly. Sentry's own privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.

What we do NOT do

How long we keep your data

Your rights

You're in full control of your data at all times:

For anything related to your subscription (billed through Apple), Apple's own privacy practices also apply.

If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have rights under the GDPR — including access, correction, deletion, and data portability — for any data processed on our servers (i.e., if you have an account). Contact us at help.nolater@gmail.com with any questions or requests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for us, that's the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI), baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.

This document is written to match the App's current functionality.
